Research

The Iceman opens an extraordinary window to the past. Since he was discovered in 1991, Ötzi has provided many research disciplines – both natural sciences and humanities – with new insights into the lives of prehistoric people. The Iceman was and continues to be an impressive example of the success of interdisciplinary research.
